Welcome!
Hi I'm Kylie Taig, a passionate educator and eLearning enthusiast, with ten years teaching experience at some of the most technologically rich schools in the world. I am currently employed at one of Melbourne, Australia's leading Independent Schools, which offers a 1:1 interactive laptop environment.
In 2011 I have taken on the role of Head of eLearning (K - 12) and hope to positively shape the future use of technology within a learning environment. In this position I endeavor to help teachers engage with and develop technology rich lessons which encourage students to be active participants in their own learning.
Through the innovative use of technology, I aim to transform how students learn. By integrating technology into the classroom environment I ensure every student is challenged, motivated and inspired to think, probe and explore subject matter in an active and stimulating manner. By embracing the use of tablet computers and mobile learning devices I endeavour to present a balanced, flexible curriculum which fosters independence in learning.
Some of my favourite tasks include developing mathematically themed study cards to be used on ipods and critiquing Science safety videos. I regularly use a range of collaborative online tools to assist with promoting a constructivist approach to learning and teaching. I believe that my ‘connected’ approach allows my students to travel the world all within the safety of their own classroom

"The use of Technology should not be viewed as a separate entity. It is an integral part of all students' learning and development"
