Hi I'm Kylie Taig, a passionate educator and eLearning enthusiast, with twelve years teaching experience at some of the most technologically rich schools in the world. I am currently employed at one of Melbourne, Australia's leading Independent Schools, which offers a rich 21st Century Curriculum and three pillar approach to education; Curricular, Pastoral and Co-Curricular.

As the Head of eLearning (K - 12), I always aim to positively shape the current and future use of technology within the teaching and learning environment. I endeavor to help and support teachers develop lessons which encourage students to be active participants in their own learning and in turn the community in which they belong to.  I strongly believe that educators must make an effort to embed 21st Century tasks into all lessons so that students gain valuable skills in communicating, collaborating, problem solving and creativity.  By encouraging the integration of technology into the classroom environment, I believe every student will be challenged, motivated and inspired to think, probe and explore subject matter in an active and stimulating manner.

In 2010 I was awarded Victoria's Microsoft Innovative Teacher award and in 2011 I was successful in being named Microsoft’s Asia Pacific Innovative Educator - People's choice award. In June 2011 I was lucky enough to attend the first Partners in Learning Institute in Redmond Seattle, an experience which I am very grateful for!

"The use of Technology should not be viewed as a separate entity.  It is an integral part of all students' learning and development"

K. Taig (2010)
