Preparation for the Journey!

On the 14th June 2011 I received an exciting email informing me that my application to attend the Microsoft Partners in Learning Institute had been successful!!  The email stated that my application "demonstrated exceptional achievement in integrating technology into the classroom and focusing on 21st century skills" - what a relief since the movie alone took about 50 hours to write, film and edit!

Since this date I have received a mountain of emails, participated in two online pre-Institute web conferences and have started my pre-work tasks (which are in fact due tomorrow!!).

What an honour to attend the Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond, Washington and mix with 50 of the most innovative educators from around the globe! This blog will highlight my journey to the Institute and detail what I have learnt, who I have met and hopefully help me finalise my plan of attack when I return to school. Now I really must get back to those pre-work tasks and of course pack my suitcase.
